Derek Fisher Out

By Adam Johnson

The Monday after the Super Bowl is the moment the New York Knicks felt like it was time to announce that they have fired their head coach, Derek Fisher. The former Lakers guard finishes his NYC tenure with a record of 40-96, to go with one embarrassing offseason fiasco involving Matt Barnes. It is hard to tell if Fisher is any good as a coach because his roster was a complete mess last season and below average this season, but it is safe to say he wasn’t setting the coaching world on fire. More details will come out about every aspect of his reign as the day progresses but for now you can add the Knicks to the list of franchises that will be looking for a new leader this summer.
